Orphanage house visit

On one of the weekend in July, a bunch of us paid a visit to an orphanage house in Puchong, credited to Dr.Peter and Alan who organized this meaningful tour. Also, thanks to Zaitun Sdn.Bhd who contributed some toiletries to each of the orphans in the home.

We suppose to be there at 11am, however, due to the protest (I couldn't recall what was it for) in Kuala Lumpur, we made to there at 2 hours later as most of the main roads had been closed as part of the safety control by police force (it did not work in the end) which led to massive traffic congestions.

Let the pictures describe the rest. (I only able to obtain a small portion of pictures taken).

We might plan to have another visit to an old folks home in this coming 2 months. If anyone interested to join or maybe give some small contributions to these people, you can drop a message in my chat box of my blog.

True life story

When I was young in age, I was always looking forward to join working life as I could earn money, seek for my freedom, and so on. I believe this perception had been a thought by most of the kids in previous, existing, and future generations.

Previously, kids were allowed to wonder around in the neighbourhood. Now a day, most of the
kids are closely monitored as they are the pieces of golds to the parents. In addition, they want
their children to be best in everything which I believe is impossible as human is born to be
imperfect. Such monitors stopped the kids from being what they prefer to do as now they are
following the principle of "what did your parent ask you to do?".

When thinking about this, I would like to share a true life story to all the readers. There is a young girl who is age 15++ by right now. This young girl entered primary school at the age of 6 years, which is uncommon for Malaysian as usually kids are still learning in pre-school at such age. However, this little girl obtained the first place in almost all the exams throughout her primary school life. For those students who failed to do so, do not blame that she is born to be that smart ass. Behind the scene, she was having at least 3-5 hours tuitions per day. Yes, it was PER DAY. For most of us including me, having a tuition even an hour per day were like killing us.

She has no choice as her parent wants her to be best for EVERYTHING. Although she has 2 younger sisters, the parents only give the best to this little girl above as the rest are unable to do as better as this little girl. No doubt, she scored straight A's in UPSR which did not suprised by most of the people.

Again, due to her parents' demand to the school, she was allowed/forced to skip Form 1 stage and started to study in Form 2 at the age of 12. When we were enjoying school holidays at the end of the year, she was busy studying and having tuitions as a preparations for the upcoming year. At the age of 13, she was elected as Head of Junior Prefects ( Form 1-Form 3) which made everyone drop their jaws. With such achievements, it could be a dream for most of the parents in the world. However, this wasn't enough to her parents. Her parents want more than what she is having now. At the age of 13, again, she scored straight A's in PMR as expected again. (Bear in mind, we were taking our PMR exam at the age of 15)

This time around, her parents want her not only top in education but also in curiculum as well. The parents are aiming for "Best scholar" title for the school. As a result, she was forced to join several school clubs and associations in order to put her in a higher point when competing for the title. At the age of 15, she is elected as Head of Senior Prefects (Form 4-Form 5). This title is really deserved to her parents instead of the little girl. The parent even customized the skirts (part of the uniform) untill certain gaps that the girl only could walk in a very small steps and gentle. In addition, the girl only allowed to watch television (not even favourite programme) for 3 hours only PER WEEK. Yes, it is PER WEEK.

What do you think about the parent? Rigid? Chill first, there is one more thing.

The parents even forced the daughter to tied 2 (many knots) pig tails for her hair. She is not allowed to put off the knots when she is outside even in school.

I think most of the girls will be going to kill such parents out if this happens on them. hahahaha.

According to my reliable source, she has a wish that most of us couldn't thought about it.

Her dream is to hope her parents allow her to put off the knots on her hair and go to school as usual. That's all!

Unexpected Guest in the house

On 18/04/2009 evening, when I was inserting my car key to start the engine, I saw something in black and unidentified stuff was moving very slowly not far from me. I was thinking it was a cat or a plastic bag, so I ignored it initially as I was in rush.

I went into my car and my hand was on the gear knob and ready to shift to the reverse gear. Suddenly, something caught in my eyes again. The unidentified item moved again and this time I pretty confirmed that it cannot be a plastic bag. Curiosity in my mind forced me to go and see what that was. Surprisingly, it was a tortoise (I assumed). It is big in size, approximately size of my palm. It is not a general species (green turtle) as its shell is dark brown in colour and its head has two long yellow lines.

Without thinking further, I grabbed the tortoise and put it in a pile with clean waters. Now, the question is, how did it managed to come into my gated house’s garden?

There are three possible answers:

A: there was an eagle was grabbing the tortoise to be its dinner but unfortunately fell it onto my house’s garden.

B: There is a small hole on the bottom of the fence, and it entered through that hole.

C: Out of nowhere, POP! , it dropped down from the sky.

As we are typically Chinese, when there is something unexplainable event/thing occurs,

Initially, I was thinking to take it as my new pet. However, my parent suggested to set it free instead of keeping it. Although it is a bit waste, I have no choice, hence I decided to set it free on tomorrow afternoon.

Lost with Pride

15th April 2009, approximate 5.30am of Malaysia Time, Chelsea vs Livepool game ended with an aggregate of 7-5 (first leg was 3-1).

The result was not purely because skills and strategies but it was because spirits and calmness.

Some of them might be thinking, "Liverpool scored 4 goals yet still lost to Chelsea". I agreed the fact, however, not everyone notice the real game happened behind the scene.

Before the game started, I expected that Liverpool will lose its semi-final seat as it had lost 3-1 to Chelsea at the first leg in its homeground. In this situation, the Red has to score at least 3 goals providing Chelsea only score one goal in the second leg in order to draw and go for penalties shootouts. One word to describe this bad situation, "Waiting to die".

Although the final result met my expectations but I am proud to say that Liverpool players had done their best that they can do . The Red did not win the game but they won the spirits of chasing up from the back and against the unfavourable odds were.

"We are disappointed because we scored four goals away from home and this game was unbelievable, and I'm really proud of the players and fans because they were pushing the team all the time," Benitez, manager of Liverpool said.

Even Chelsea's man in charge, Hiddink was in doubt, worried, and said "You can kill the game in the first half-hour by not conceding, but not by sitting back, with your backs in the goal - then you ask for problems, and we were worried."

Amazing Aquascaping

I was being told about 2007 Aqua Design Amano Aquascaping Contest which I had totally no idea on about it initially. The contest, held yearly and open to anyone, is the most significant award in the hobby and garners international recognition. The entries are judged by Takashi Amano himself and other renowned judges.

I was thinking whether my aquarium qualifies to participate this competition or not. As I was lazy to take a picture of my aquarium, I decided to get a picture of a similar aquarium from internet. Ended I got something like this.

See, it looks nice, isn't it ? The water is clean and clear. But......why looks empty? I assume you guys are my judges. What do you think about this aquascaping? Please rate so-called my aquascaping from 1 to 10. Frankly speaking, I would rank it 7/10 as my actual aquascaping is even worse (which has nothing inside except the fish). At the end, I did not submit my application as I did not want to embarass myself and my country.

At Oct 2007, the result had been released through online. Thank God, my decision was correct for not participating this contest. Pictures below will explain why I said so.

As some of my friends know, previously I joined AIESEC in 2007/2008 term and I met her in person and had some discussion related to AIESEC's development. Malaysian including me should proud to have such a great person for representing us in bringing our pride to a greater high.

Freeze in the tropical forest (Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam) PART VI

Please do not feel weird once you hear that someone were freezing in the tropical forest in Malaysia. Anything could happen in "Boleh Land". Let me proudly introduce the final spot, the house of 4 seasons. It cost only RM 3 per person and only allow you to be inside for 3 minutes. So, try to take pictures as much as possible in this short period given.

Nice decorations, all this trees are human-made.

Initially, we thought the house consists 4 different seasons but turned out to be only one particular season which European countries are having. Not only that, it also divided to several stages (eg: early winter, middle of winter, and so on).

We entered to early winter stage at that time but suprisingly, the temperature was already at -17 celcius. The good news was we were wearing short pants and a normal T. NO jackets or additional cloths given as you are only able to stay for 3 minutes only. As I mentioned earlier, the house of 4 seasons was the last spot we went. The Bukit Cahaya Trip's posts will officially ended here.

Garden of Africa (Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam) Part V

This garden is located near to the stall where we hanged out for a momment. For your information, most of the plants in this garden are replicas. Basically this garden is built for pictures-taking purpose.

Amazon Lake in Malaysia (Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam) PART IV

We proceeded to the next pit stop, the Amazon Lake in Bukit Cahaya. According to the map, it takes approximately 2km to reach there. This time around, we were cycling down the hill and this means it will be getting dangerous where the speed could reach about 60km/h (that's considered fast when you are cycling).

Someone fell down resulted backbone injury and some minor scratches.

We stopped at the junction for a while. There was a serious discussion about the route to the lake. Picture above illustrates us were likely lost in the middle of the forest (but actually was not). The lake is located not far from there. It took us about 5 minutes to reach the lake from the junction where there is a public toilet located.

If you are interested in fishing sport, this place will definitely be the new hang out spot for you guys. However fishes in this lake are reserved which means you can't bring it to home or cook it. Basically, you will be paying a minimal fees to fish but not to get the fishes. You pay the fees for the sake to satisfy your passion in fishing and buy the environment. As you can see, this lake is surrounded by giant trees. You can't see any infrastructure at there. When I was sitting next to the lake, it gave me a homesick feeling.

Some of us managed to buy some soft drinks and even maggi cups (don't ask me why were there selling maggi cups)

The Watch Tower (Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam) PART III

1.8 km, hm....looks like the watch tower is pretty near, huh?, confidence spoken by most of us.

The journey in looking for the watch tower was awesome. As mentioned in previous post, we really can't predict what was behind at the end of the road. Will there be a watch tower or just bunches of woods that scattered around, it was still a mysterious question. Road to the watch tower is getting steeper and steeper when we were moving forwards. There were moments when we felt that we were planning to give up as the atmosphere was unlikely giving us a fruitful ending.

Nobody was around as the road we taken was like one of the roads that is highly NOT recommended for beginners including us. It was totally silent area where you manage to hear some fishy sounds. Not only that, sky was getting darker and we were still in the middle of the forest. There was no alternative road that connected to the main entrance. What we had to do was just pushing ourself to move forward. I had a thought that our grandpas and grandmas were using this way once upon a time. I can feel how hard and pain that they went through at the age when there was no transportation system and totally relied on our legs.

We stopped quite a number of time. Energy were fully utilised and waters supplies were totally used up. We were desperately in need of water but there was no stall or even a passbyer around.

Finally, we saw something on the side roads

Some of us decided to keep move forward and some were taking rest.

AND FINALLY..............................

WE MADE IT TO THE WATCH TOWER!!!!

As you can see, we were like hundred meter higher from the ground. Imagine what will happen if you are accidentally slipped and fall down. The air was fresh as it was located outskirt of the city. One of my friend managed to have video conferencing with his girlfriend in order to prove that himself really came for outdoor activity instead of "lepaking" around mamak stalls. This journey took us about 40 to 50 minutes to complete. We felt very satisfying althought all of us were exhausted.

And, this two felle were got nothing to do and decided to take a funny shot.

Bukit Cerakah (Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam) PART II

The journey to the mother nature had begun. Giant trees are standing strong on the ground of earth. You will be feeling that you are lost in the middle of the city where giant trees are imitations of high buildings and infrastrutures, bikes are the replacement of a box with 4 wheels. Not only that, network coverage is not available as the signals are not strong compared it in city.

This time was my second trip to Bukit Cerakah. The first trip was a few weeks back which I went with some of them to make a survey before inviting the rest to join (white mice basically). On the half way of the trip, we managed to have some drinks in one of the stalls. As usual again, when comes to "yam cha" session, we get used to our culture where vulgar words are threw on each other regardless whether it touches sensitive issues or not (that's the reason we managed to get along).

After half-hour pit stop at the stall, we were back to the actions. We saw a short cut next to the main road and it was a bit bushy, hilly and uneven pathway. Without thinking rationally, we decided to take that shortcut; however, one of our friend decided to not to follow us as he suspected this shortcut leads to nowhere. He used the main road to back to the main entrance. According to reliable source (map given at the entrance), there are two pathways available, one leads to the top of the hill, and the another one leads to the main entrance. Again, rational did not come in during our discussion, and again we did a silly mistake by taking the first option.

As you can see above, we can’t really predict what is ahead. We did not even know how long does this road going to be. Someone claimed there might be “haunted stuffs” around that area. Some of our men were down as illustrated below.

Yet, we still unable to confirm whether there is a watchtower or not as the situation seems did not give a right indication of it.

That’s all for Part II. Coming up, I am going to express how worth was our efforts after went through so many constraints and conflicts.

Bukit Cerakah (Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam) Part 1

After having a long discussion with one bunch of friends during "yam cha", we came out the idea of cycling at Bukit Cahaya Sri Alam Agricultural Park, one of the notable place for you if you are looking for beautiful sceneries, the power of the nature and adventurous activities.

At 9.00 am sharp on 16th of November 2008, we made our very first step into the entrance of the park. That day was overcrowded as there were a few buses that carrying hundreds of tourists regardless from local or overseas. 10 of us came in with a very "casual" attire and someone was wearing sandal for cycling (laugh). Each of us paid RM 3 in order to gain the access to the mother nature. Without wasting the time, we went to the bicycles' rental stores which known as "barn" for us. Hundreds of people, pushing here and there, and being picky for the conditions of the bicycles were surrounding the small barn which caused an internal traffic congestion.

There are two types of bicyles, one is the typical old bike with colourless costs RM 3 each, and another one is so-called a new bike which costs RM 5 each. If you are renting the bike for more than an hour, RM 1 will be charged for the subsequent hours. As the culture of "kiasu" brought over to Malaysia, everyone will be trying to get the best bike. Not only that, if the parts of the bike are spoiled, you are allowed to demand the mechanic to replace the specific parts, (sounds like sending a car for tuning, hahahaha). When the needle of my watch hit at 9.40 a.m, everybody started the one of memorable trip that will never be forgotten.

When we are talking about safe sex, DUREX will be the first word comes to the mind.

We know that there are plenty of condoms' brands in the world. One the popular brand is Durex which have variety of designs and flavour (correct me if I'm wrong) . What makes them become one of the best selling condoms' company in the world ? Quality ? Or maybe affordable ?

I found that slogan does play an important role in promoting their products especially in condom production line. If I am not mistaken, in Europe, Durex has a slogan which is "feeling is everything". This slogan sounds like applicable to ages ago. In 22th century, people tend to have something "special" to spice it up. What happens if those branded companies come out condoms as their new product? Check the pictures below.

Sports Carnival (19th October 2008)

When we are talking what is significant of having a sport day during secondary & primary school time, we will be thinking it is an holiday for students. At that point of time, I do not know how does the sport is going to beneficial to us.

Untill 19th of Octover 2008, HELP University College was organizing an annual Sports Carnival that was held in the usual spot, University Malaya, I finally found the answer. Sports Carnival had brought all students from different skin colours, genders, religions, and status together and compete with one another to achieve the respectful place. I participated in the basketball 5-5 game for Econs Department. Guess what, my teammates were mostly are my classmates.

I reached there about 8am. Most of the people were having some warm up exercise before the games started. During the registration time, it was totally chaos as participants from various games cramped up in a small registration booth. I met some friends such as Mun Keat and some AIESEC HELP people.

All the main course we ended at 3.30pm. The last game with be the tug of war.

Econsians are monsters.

Econs departments won the tug-of-war game. After the game, we headed back to the main spot for the prize giving event. Forgot to mention in earlier, I lost in the basketball game dues to lack in teamwork and skills (try again next year). Before the day of the Sports Carnival, there were a few games were held before in hand. Physcology was leading the scores board which was like 24-1. WTF, Econs got 1 point only for games before in hand. After the end of the Sports Carnival, Econs department emerged as the champion with the sensational comebacks by won major of 20++ points. Econsians managed to get most of the top three in every single game competed on that day. (Salute to Econs department)

It ended at 4.30pm. Me, Bao Shun, Patrick, and a girl went for late lunch at KFC, the one located near the UM's entrance. We finished about 5pm and then we headed back to home. Although I got a bad sunburnt but I felt it was a great day as I met many new faces and felt the strong sport spirit from every participants involved.

RM 2 per plate from Sushi King

On 16th of October, we had about 3 hours break before the next class starts. As initial plan, we decided to go for lunch at Sushi King as there was a promotion made where selected colour plates of sushi that on the belt will be selling at RM 2. I personally felt this promotion campaign was a success for them. As you can see, this promotions only last about a week but they attracted 300 to 400% customers compared to those working days. Besides that, people like us tend to spread all this news to their friends. Guess what, I was the one been told that there was a promotion running recently. So, we went to SoHo at Mount Kiara to have the lunch.

Bad day that I had today.

As some of you guys knew, I attended the basketball training session which started at 7pm. I reached there on time and I met some of them. Without wasting time, we started some warm-up trainings. As nobody notice, somebody took my bad away from the seat that we usually put on. WTF, I had handphones, wallets with identification card, driving license, contacts, car keys and small ammount of cash. Nobody wasn't aware there was someone took something from the seat.

I lost many of my friends and businesses contacts. I called up my parent to pass me my car's spare keys to me. Of course, there was some screwing process happened while I was telling them that I lost the things.

My friend suggested to lodge a police report first. Thanks to my friend, Joe, who accompanied me along to the police station. It took us about half & hour to be there. The police in charged asked me to write the details and things that had been stolen. I did what I followed and he generated out an output like below.

I suspected two people involved in this incident. It was either an uncle who jogged around the basketball court or a foreign student that played basketball for a while.

p/s: I curse that motherf**ker who stole my belongings will suffer whatever illness, have to fork out moneys for its treatments, everyday have to hang a bag of salt water around him and may the god sends you to hell without anybody notice.

Ice-Cream man in the Matta Fair 08

A few days back before Matta Fair 08 held (5th of September to 7th of September 08), my friend called me up and told me that there is a job for me in Matta Fair. " Selling travel package?" I asked. "No no, you will be selling ice-cream" she replied. I was stunned for a momment and was thinking to reject the job. However, the contains in my wallet did not allow me to do so and ended I and my friend, Chad took up the job.

We started our work on Saturday as we had classes on Friday. We took public transports to PWTC and we reached at 8.50am (event starts at 10am). As we reached earlier, the first thing we did was paying a visit to the toilet in Federal Hotel. We met my friend who introduced the job to me. She and her boss gave some guidance before we start.

The good thing what I observed while we are working in this kind of event is you will be expose to thousands of persons that you are really unfamiliar with. Besides that, of course, networking opportunities are always there as what AIESEC is giving. Hahhaha. If you are looking to gain working experience, I would say it doesn't help much but in terms of exposure to the people and market, yes it is. If you are talking about hot chicks, yes, there were plenty of them with good look, normal look, and the bad one.

The best momment that I passed in these 2 days was a person came to buy ice-cream from me.

"Berapa untuk satu drumstick?" asked by people

I asnwered " RM3 untuk semua drumstick"

He replied " wah, apasal mahal sangat? luar jual 2 ringgit sahaja"

When this situation happens, check out below what did I reply.

"Bang, kita direct supplier dari nestle. Semua products sini pun fresh fresh punya. Sini tak macam kedai runcit's punya ice-cream, semua letak lama-lama punya."

That felle stunned and at the end he just walked away.

The Matta Fair ended at 9pm on sunday but still many people were negotiating with the travel agency in order to get the best price for the holiday travel package. We didn't take our dinner at there for these 2 days as we were kinda busy in selling ice-cream at so called "peak hour" for muslim. So we took dinners at somewhere PJ at the end.

If got class til malam nanti,
after 8 the air cond will mati,
when we complain heaty,
they say the building is empty,
meng meng still got security,
where got count as empty...

UTAR thought we are monkey,
payment also need to go different faculties,from collecting receipt, filling in form to paying money,
From PC, PA, PC and need certified go PD ...
If your lazy please dont come to this uni,
coz UTAr bus service also need money,
they dont accept cash accept tickets what a pity,
70 cents if u want to beli....

people say come uni,

toilet in UTAR very geli,

UTAR got alot of library,
small with insufficient facility,
going in also need to show ID,
people go in to walk and talk kat sana sini,
so students there are very noisy,
if your smart you know dont come in to study...
UTAR computer lab very mini,
Pen drive masuk lubang sure got baby,
pregnant with all the trojan, worm and cookies,
besides that the server very laggy,
in PA the lab is like CC,
student LAN games with any games terkini ...

UTAR staff dunno get how much for their salary,
if they have problem they will ask you tunggu sini,
change people also cannot solve it then they ask tunggu lagi,
then change people again also cant solve then very soli...

Chinese in UTAR is majority,
Dont know how to speak chinese then they will say you 'lan si',
good students always carry a electronic dictionary
so they will learn better for their study...
Dr Ling say UTAR is good so study disini,
but what is happening we also dont have berita terkini,
coz the moving to kampar is very lousy,
thats why all the good lecturers also wanna lari,
no one wanna go there as its a town like 3rd world country,
no KFC no MCD,
1 thing they have is MYFC,
trust me for that place is not counted as lousy...assignment for GD banyak sampai mati,
rushing assignment setiap hari,
no need sleep macam zombie,some more class will be 8 pagi,
so macam mana bangun ni,end up kena barred lagi...

Utar is not very lousy,

College reopens on tommorow and yet I am not ready for it. My 3 months so called "internship" in Trane Sales & Services Malaysia has came to the end. I had a good time during my working days. I would never forget whoever I met when I was in Trane. I wish I could work at there for my upcoming semester breaks too.

I did not go for any countdown for Merdeka eve as I was invited to join my friend's birthday party at Neway KTV at Subang. It was started at 12am of 31'st August . It was a great nights as it has been a while that we have not gather and chit chat together. The party ended at 5am but me and a few of my friends gone back at 3.30am. Pictures will be uploaded when I get it from my friends.

Everyone was thinking I will becoming rich kid as I was working for these 3 months. Actually, it isn't true as I spent pretty a lot in this few months. It seems like I have to look for part time soon in order to cover my daily expense.

I think that's all my summary for my semester breaks.
Looking forward college's reopens days to meet up my HELPIAN mates.

Well, if you guys flip through the section of Education in The Star newspaper on last sunday, 29th of June, you might saw a few articles about career in GE.

Congrats to my friend who success to be selected under General Leadership Program, one of the most repected internship program in the world. Interns will be working 2 years with General Electric, Top 3 company that listed in Forbes 2007. They will be exposed to all GE's businesses involved such as GE Finance, GE Energy and so on. I believe those people who done well in this internship will be one of the big shot in future.

Another good news is, AIESECERs won the L'Oreal Business Proposal competition and now they are representing Malaysia to compete with other representatives from the rest of the world in Paris. Although I do not know what brilliant idea that they used to beat other participants but what I am sure is their idea will be one of the bombastic presentation that I missed.

It seems like all my friends are doing a grade A job tasks and I am still working a normal administration works in a SME company. Although I learnt quite a lot from the seniors but I am still do not satisfy what I am having now.

When you are hired for temporarily/ part time staff, trust me, there is always a difference between the status of the part time staff and permanent staff in terms of benefits, relationship, stress level and so on.

Forget about it first, I have took a few pictures of my working area. Let's have a look.

As there is no any additional deskstop for me, I am "forced" to use notebook for this 2 months. The good news is that I can bring this laptop to home. Hahaha. As you guys can see from the picture above, there are plenty of files on my small table. Actually I am sharing the table with permanent staff.

As you guys notice, there is a cup of mocha coffee next to the notebook. It becomes my stimulator for every single day. That's what I will be doing when works are done.

That's the pass for temporarily staff.

Hm, overall, Trane is a good company as it is an international air conditioning business firm that done pretty well in these few decades. Recently, Trane Malaysia have won the Asian President Award, applause for them. People are friendly and the good thing is they always like to eat foods. They always brought me to nowhere to eat. There was once my senior brought me to somewhere near University Malaya for "chap fan". An organization always do have political issues, conflict of interests and so on. I believe if member in an organization can be intergrated, all issue can be solved easily. Basically, that is the bad thing that I observed in most of the company that I worked before. The larger the organization, people will tend to backstab on each other. The more they do, more people will left the organization.

I AM OFFICIALLY HIRED.

Thanks to my friend, Elisa who introduced the job to me. The allowance is good enough to cover my daily expenses. I am quite familiar with TRANE Malaysia although I haven't start my work yet as I did presentation with my friends under AIESEC HELP at TRANE before. I wish I could able to finalize the proposal that is undergoing between AIESEC and TRANE by end of this year. I believe TRANE will be a platform for me to gain a pleasurable experience.

Rumour of the increase of the petrol's price spreaded to every single corner in Malaysia by sms, calls and even radio within an hour after the announcement made. Prime Minister of Malaysia,known as Pak Lah did a big mistake ever in his life. Before the announcement of the new petrol's price, he was like in the red zone in the war field as politicians and public were forcing him to step down from the prime minister post. I believe that he will be in deep troubles by facing the public dues to the increamental of the petrol's price. I understand that the increase of the petrol's price is not only his decision, it was forced by the external factors such as the increase of the international petrol's price but does he able to answer us where are the gains from reducing subsidies on petrol's price to ? Answer is ......"semua untuk pembangunan negara dan kebaikan rakyat Malaysia" But rakyat don't see it

My car is Waja Campro 1.6 (2006) with fuel tank capacity of 55 liters

When the price of petrol was RM 1.92 per liter:

Full tank, 55 liters * RM 1.92 = RM 110

Fuel consumption per km = RM 0.20

When the price of petrol gone up to RM 2.70 per liter, which means 27% of increase:

Full tank, 55 liters * RM 2.20 = RM 150

Fuel consumption per km, RM 0.20 * 127% = RM 0.27

When I was filling in petrol into my car, I saw someone fill up petrol with barrels and bottles. I don't know since when Singaporean's culture, KIASU has brought over into Malaysia. Not study hard but study smart

We are used to know about this philosophy since we were young. Study smart indicates persons use smart and applicable ways in order to absorb the knowleges into their mind.

However, an undergraduate from HELP University College who is willing to be known as FJF, stated that this philosophy is no longer applicable now a day as there is nobody is following it and slowly ignore it.

He came out with a new philosophy that is applicable to the current public which is :

Not study smart but study based on situation

Not study smart but study whatever coming in exam

He added that study based on situation has become the trend of the people especially students' group. Besides that, they are no longer reading the whole text book but only read things that are related to the exams especially those tips/hints given by their lecturers and so on. Students tend to do revisions at very last minute which they think it is "a better and faster way" compared with the "smart way".

Class reps' meeting

Friday is a good day for me as I do not have any class on that day. Unfortunately, I was required to attend the class reps' meeting on today. Besides that, there was a gathering in MV that I have to fo. What to do, I should "thank" to those voters who voted me as class rep of UEL BAAF Year II, especially to katak khoo. This meeting was held in order to allow students to raise the issues that we are facing in university.

Anyway, initially the meeting should started on 12pm sharp. However, we are typically malaysian who used to be late. I met a few new friends who are also class reps (all of them were been put on the table too). Many jokes and laughs were made by us untill lecturers who passed by also asked us to keep silent. hahaha.

On 12.30 pm, we had our lunch which was provided by department of econs. It was free at all. Guess what, it was SUBWAY. 14 portions for 9 persons who attended. hahah, what else, ta pau the rest la. Generally, the lunch was like a special treatment to us. On the other point of view, it can be a "bribe" given by them in order to ask us to not to voice out the complaints during the meeting. Meeting started at 1pm. Most of the complains were quite general such as no proper class, lack of facilities in library, and so on.

At the middle of the meeting, one of the rep complained that administration staffs were not friendly. All of us were laughing like shit even Dr. James, the head of department econs did so.

Dr. James said " we can't block any students to enter the staff's office, if we do, we will be said that we are unfriendly. When we open the door for students, some of them bring biscuits and fruits to our staff. Students who saw the incident will just spread out that UEL admins were given 'special treatment' from students".

That's still ok. After that, there was a guy complained that washrooms in HELP are terrible. He added that he has to go to E&C (an office building which is located next to wisma HELP) to pee. That was funny and even Dr.James agreed that the washrooms are terrible.

Meeting ended around 3.30pm and I can't go for my friend's gathering.

Many years ago in a small Indian village, a farmer had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer's beautiful daughter. So he went down to the farm to looked for them. He proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his daughter. Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the proposal.

So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let providence decide the matter. He told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag. Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag.

There were three options available:

1) If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father's debt would be forgiven.

2) If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven.

3) But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail.

They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer's field. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick a pebble from the bag. Now, imagine that you were standing in the field. What would you have done if you were the girl?

If you had to advise her, what would you have told her? Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:

1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.

2. The girl should show that there were two > >black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat.

3. The >girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment.

Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us > >appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking. The girl's dilemma cannot be solved with traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses the above logical answers. What would you recommend to the Girl to do?

Well, here is what she did .... The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles. 'Oh, how clumsy of me,' she said. 'But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked.' Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don't attempt to think. Start your day with this thought provoking story and have a nice day. DONT WORK HARD...... 'WORK SMART'

Dear Tech Support Team:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activities. Applications such as BachelorNights 10.3, Cricket 5.0, BeerWith Buddies 7.5, and Outings 3.6 no longer runs, crashing the system whenever selected.
I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 5.0, but the 'uninstall' doesn't work on Wife 1.0.

Please help!

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that people complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!!

It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 5.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 5.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed not to allow this.

I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the environment. I suggest installing the background application 'Yes Dear' to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean 2.5, Sweep 3.0, Cook 1.5 and DoLaundry 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program NagNag 9.5 .

Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Cloths 2.1 and Jewellery 5.0

STATUTORY WARNING : DO NOT, under any circumstances, install SecretaryWithShortSkirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Dear All............

Last week, I brought my guests to Genting Highlands. After a day 'above the clouds', we decided to have dinner at the Gohtong Jaya area on the way down. We ordered some dishes and decided to have a steamed fish as well. So the captain recommended 'sultan fish'. The steamed fish came. HALF, and plain steamed. Good & fine. But when the bill came, it came to over $500 !! We were shocked !! We were told the fish was 1.4kg ( & please bear in mind, its ONLY HALF A FISH ) at RM 320 per kg! RM 420!! This was daylight robbery. We were not informed by the Captain that a kg of the Sultan fish would cost us RM 320 and there was also no signs of such pricings anywhere in the restaurant. When we checked with the cashier, she told us, its correct !! Of cos, it was our mistake for not asking the price first. Anyway, on the way back to KL, we stopped at Unique Seafood,PJ, where one can choose a live fish. The most expensive Soon Hock swimming in the tank is RM135 per kilo. Asked them about the Sultan fish, it is going for RM100 a kilo.

Will be sending this letter to the newspapers, Tourism board, etc etc; and friends, pls pass on to all on yr email list. CHEATED.

Don't judge anything from the outlook

My car's brek pad has to be changed due to the lacking of the rubbers on the brake pad. I drove my car to a small car repair shop. The car shop condition was looking old and only has a few workers only inclusive the boss himself. Nothing special decorations or any big car is being repaired at there. At starting, I felt doubt whether want to send my car to them to repair. However, due to rushing of time and since it is located near to my dad's office, I decided to do so. After that, I went to my dad's office to work out my taxation assignment.

The process of changing new brake pads has taken 2 hours and I have waited for 2 hours as well in my dad's office. When I went to back to the car shop to collect my car back, as I expected, my car still wasn't ready. Since I was kinda free at that momment, I checked out the spare parts that were hanging here and there in the shop. Nothing special I would say as as most of the items were second hands or maybe some have been spoiled. Suddenly I passed by a corner of the shop and saw this.

Initially, I was thinking those trophies maybe were from his son/daughter who won those prices in school. When I checked out the title for each trophy clearly, WTF !!! All those trophies and certificates were from those car rally competitions and so on. I went to ask the boss how was his collection came from and he replied "aiya, I played for fun when I was young" .......WTF!! Play for fun and got champion.....really stunned.
